The Wisdom of Solomon

We've supplied the articles below in the hopes that they help you improve your golf game. We believe that there are a lot of generalities about golf that are constantly written or passed on from golfer to golfer that hold as much weight as a “wet paper bag”. Much of the golf “stuff” that we hear and read was passed along from golfer to golfer, generation to generation. But, just because people have said that you must keep your left arm straight for the last 100 years, doesn’t mean it's the correct thing for you to focus on in each swing.

The articles listed below have been printed in national publications.

We hope you enjoy reading these articles. We believe you should receive some valuable information from them. We wouldn’t consider them tips, we'd rather you think of them as stories that you can learn from. So enjoy and please give us your feedback.

Bad Golf Swing Alignment -"Marc, often times when I hit the golf ball, I jump back and my left foot isn't in the same place as when I started my golf swing. What's causing me to do this?"

Golf Swing Training Aides - "Marc, I am constantly seeing infomercials on the Golf Channel about different devices that are supposed to help me get a better golf swing. Thegolf companies claim that if I practice with these devices, that they will help me improve my game. Which ones are good?"

How To Fix Old Habits That Have Come Back - "Marc, I've regained some of my bad habits and need some drills to correct them. I'm back to staying on my back foot and my tempo is horrible. What can I do to correct this?"

Golf Practice Techniques - I want to talk about practicing golf. Do you ever practice your golf game? How do you practice? Do you go to the Driving Range, putting green, practice bunker, or do you putt on one of those little putting mats you can lay on the floor and the ball rolls back to you?

Eye On The Golf Ball - "Marc - Everywhere I go to play golf, people say to keep your eye on the golf ball. I read in one of your articles that keeping your eye on the golf ball is bad. If you don’t think I should look at the golf ball, where should I look?"

Wedges Around The Green - "Marc, I’ve been hitting the golf ball really well (for me), but when I get to a par 5, I mess up. When I get to about 40 yards from the green, I usually hit a bad golf shot. Most of the time I even miss the green. How can I get better at this shot?"

Driving Distance - "Marc, I sure could use a few ideas. I'm hitting the golf ball pretty well except off the tee. Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. When I pull out my 7-iron, I hit the golf ball pretty well. All my golf partners tell me that I need to swing easy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Any assistance you can give me would be appreciated."

Slow Rhythm Golf Swing - "Marc, I have been playing golf for five years and I feel that I am at a crossroads. For the first three years I felt as ifI had steadily improved. Though, the last two years I have hit a plateau, my scores have not improved at all. I 've been told that I need to work on slowing down the rhythm of my golf swing. I practice twice a week after work and play once or twice on the weekends. With all this time and effort devoted to golf, I feel as if I should be playing better. How can I improve my rhythm so that I can take my game to the next level?"
