GMS Location#6 - South Florida!!

Click Here To Listen to The Audio Version of Golf Improvement Weekly

Wow – do we have some exciting news for you! Today we’re proud to announce Golf Made Simple’s newest location at Heron Bay Golf Club in South Florida right between Boca Raton and Ft. Lauderdale!

After years of being in Northeast Florida, followed 4 years ago by an expansion of GMS to Southern California, then last year with the opening of our Gulf Coast of Florida location in the Tampa area, and then earlier this year into Lake Tahoe, California – we’re now ready to give you South Florida!

If the name Heron Bay Golf Club ‘rings a bell’ – it was formerly known as The TPC at Heron Bay – which held the PGA Tour’s Honda Classic Golf Tournament for 6 years from 1997 to 2002. With winners such as Vijay Singh, John Daly and Lee Janzen – the Honda Classic was a formidable tournament held the week after Doral and the week before Arnold Palmer’s tournament in Orlando! So you know that the quality and conditioning of this golf course, along with the practice facilities - has to be top-notch!

And we’re privileged to have GMS Location #6 at Heron Bay Golf Club as our South Florida home. In addition to this PGA Tour quality golf course and practice facility – we’re also excited to announce that accommodations are available right on the property of the golf course at the beautiful Coral Springs Marriott. This is what you could call a classic South Florida golf resort!

One of the perks of our new South Florida location is basically each morning you can have breakfast and then just walk out the back door of your hotel to meet your GMS Instructor for a day of Golf Improvement. And once you’re day of Golf Improvement is complete ….. it’s just steps back to your hotel room for a shower and some dinner.

Our first class in South Florida will be held Friday, November 30th to Sunday December 2nd and will continue year round with a 3-Day GMS Program held every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday – along with Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

If you’re looking to come see us in our newest and possibly nicest East Coast location – sign-up's start right now!

As with every time we announce a new location – dates start to fill-up right away. This is often attributed to Golfers that have been to see GMS before, would like to again take their game to an even higher level and at the same time – try our newest location. And believe me – our locations are getting better and better!

GMS is frequently approached by golf courses and golf resorts around the United States to bring our program to their facilities. And although many of these facilities are really nice – we frequently decline. Though, when we went to the facilities at Heron Bay Golf Club – we were ‘floored’ by this former PGA Tour golf course and the beautiful Marriott property on site. If you’ve been reading (or listening) to Golf Improvement Weekly for a while, you know I have no problem telling you how I feel – good or bad. And I have to tell you – this is as good a golf facility as I’ve seen – and I can’t tell you how excited I am for GMS to be at Heron Bay Golf Club. November 30th can’t come soon enough!

If you want to improve your game; if you want to be in the semi-tropical environment of South Florida; if you want to be able to walk out of your hotel each morning and right onto a golf course that hosted a PGA Tour event – our South Florida location is for you!

2007 and 2008 Rates and Dates are in place – click here to access our webpage for our South Florida location at Heron Bay Golf Club.

Jeff,

Just want to drop you a short note to thank you for the Great Labor Day weekend experience at Whitehawk Ranch.

I have been telling everyone how great your instruction was and I've even given some of my old “Monkey” buddies a few pointers from what I learned.

I now have the tools to get to the level I want. It’s up to me and my PLAN. Heck, I never thought I would have a PLAN aside from trying to find my ball prior to GMS. But now I have a PLAN and a way to implement it. I just can’t thank you enough for your patience with me.

Being a 60 year old usually tied to a desk, my body did tended to tire out in the afternoons, but I still had the best golf of my life. I can’t tell you how much I appreciated your one on one with me after the last day of class. I know this was extra work for you that you did not need to do. I wish you nothing but the best in your future and you do Golf Made Simple a great service.

Hi Jeff,

This update is long overdue... When Ken and I came to GMS at White Hawk Ranch over the 4th of July, my golf index was 36.9 and I was very frustrated. By 8/1 it was 35.6 and I saw major improvements to my game.

On September 1st, my index has now improved over 5 strokes to 31.7.  I was the most improved golfer in my 18 hole Women's group for the month.

Today I played our home course and shot my new personal best there - 109. Not bad considering I was shooting in the 130s in June!!

GMS made a HUGE difference in my game.  I am focused on my PLAN and still “Tick Tock: my way around the golf course. Best of all, I am really having fun! Thank you!

Hope all is well with you,

The Buzz with Alex

GMS Location #6 - South Florida!!!

What can I say about our new South Florida location in the Boca Raton/Ft. Lauderdale area? I can say that I loved the art deco feel of the hotel – which isn’t unusual since we’re so close to Miami. The pool and hot tub area looked like a great area to ‘take a dip’ – the workout facility has everything you need – the sauna looked like the place to soothe some sore muscles – the rooms are very nice with some comfy beds – I believe you’re going to really like it!

As you’ll most likely be flying into see our new South Florida location – you have a choice of 3 convenient airports – Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Miami (MIA) and West Palm Beach (PBI). The easiest of the 3 is Fort Lauderdale – it’s a simple 30 minute drive to Heron Bay and the Marriott. Miami is about a 50 minute drive and West Palm Beach is only 45 minutes. So the convenience of flying in from anywhere in the States, Canada, Mexico, Europe and around the world is outstanding – South Florida is definitely an International Destination!

We also have a limo service available that can pick you up at the airport and bring you right to Heron Bay Golf Club and the Marriott. With the Marriott offering Breakfast, Lunch (though you’ll be eating lunch each day with us at the golf course) and Dinner – there’s no need to leave the property. That’s unless you want to try out some local restaurants at night.

If you have any questions about our new South Florida location in the Boca Raton/Ft. Lauderdale area – please give me a telephone call or send me an email – I’d love to tell you more and answer any questions you may have.

Looking forward to speaking with you’

Regards,

Alex – Director, Golf Made Simple Inc.

How Do You Compare With
Ernie Els from 10 to 15 feet?

Last Week at the PGA Tour’s BMW Tournament in Chicago – Ernie Els tied for 18th with scores of 73, 67, 68 and 69 for a cumulative score of 7 under par. Though, his place in the standings could’ve improved dramatically if it weren’t for his putting.

Ernie only made 22% of his putts in the 10 to 15 foot range. To put this in perspective – think about how many putts you have in an 18 hole round that are from 10 to 15 feet from the hole.

So if Ernie is only making 2 out 10 putts from this distance – how many out of 10 are you making? And please remember – you’re no Ernie Els. Go ahead and practice your putting because - Tiger Woods made 53% of his putts from that same distance. No wonder why Tiger ended up at 22 under par.

My fondest recollections of watching Golfers improve are not just about the smile on your face after you hit a great shot. It’s more about you saying that you are confident and ‘now truly understand what it takes to repeat my golf swing’.

When you understand your golf swing – the golf course doesn’t become such a scary place. Your confidence level goes up as your tension and anxiety goes down.

When you understand your golf swing and move away from all the mumbo jumbo that Golfers are fed by outside sources – you start to believe that you can play with anyone without feeling like you’re going to embarrass yourself. And to me – to hear a Golfer say that – well ….. that makes me feel good.
