“My Two Best Rounds Of Golf In A Row!”
Jeff -
This past week I played with my son and I shot an 87 and a 90. These are the best two rounds of golf in a row that I have had since I took up this game. I had 30 putts , 9 fairways, 8 GIR and 6 one-putts for my 87. WOW!
My driving has shown some great improvement on distance and accuracy. This is due to my slowing down my swing and using TIC-TOCK.
This week, I feel I have gotten better and my fellow golfers are also seeing the new and improved golfer in my scoring and shot making.

"I Couldn't Break The Mid 90's To Now Shooting 79!"
Marc: I was ready to give up the golf last fall, when at 64, I couldn't break the mid 90's and low 100's. Well I told the wife that I was going to kill it of cure it by investing in lessons. "Of course", she said, "You tried that before and you never were happy trying to create the swing of the teacher. And for the money you were more unhappy than before!"
Well, she had a good point. So I went on line and reviewed everything available. Well, it came down to economics. The length of time and the basic concept I read sounded like something that would fit for me and the value was within my price perspective.
Well, February came and after 3 days under great guidance with Hayden, I had a whole different perspective on what I was doing with my swing. I can relate to your assessment that improvement comes in following your drills, warm up with 29 ball routine, and the area I really had trouble, putting.
Those 10% increments continue because the drills just make me understand more of what I want to accomplish. I now know how far I will hit all my clubs. I now know to strategically play the course. And most of all, I now know that a bad swing can be expected, and instead of letting it bother me, the new attitude is hit the next one!
I just finished playing and recorded a 79! The second round in the 70's in two weeks! My spouse is much happier, because she sees the game is fun again for me and I can't wait to play again. Thanks for such a great program that brought me back to a game I love. Now, when I hear the Monkeys talk I just smile.

“I Won On Friday!”
Derick,
I want to thank you for 3 GREAT days at Lansdowne. I learned a lot from you and my game will never be the same.
YES, I won on Friday afternoon against Randy at my home club, 3 and 2. Randy is a 2 and only gives me (a 16) 9 shots and he lost.
He was not a happy camper but I was.........I am working on what you taught us and feel that I will get my game into the 70's thanks to you.
You take care and again, THANK YOU FOR A GREAT LEARNING EXPERIENCE and a fun time to boot.

Marc – Played in the county Amateur Tournament this past weekend. Overall – shot 86, 84, 84 with 9 hole rounds of – 45, 41, 44, 40, 44, 40 – my second nines on each day were my better nines – drove the ball quite well all weekend.
In the end, my 254 score was my best three-rounds of play at the BCA beating my 5th Flight winning score in 1998.

"Improved My Best Score By 8 Strokes!"
Jeff - Things are falling into place. I have "rediscovered" my drive and am hitting my irons and hybrids very well. I am even using my 4 hybrid now off the tee on short par 4's with great accuracy.
I played on Tuesday at a course that has been pretty challenging and improved my previous best score by 8 strokes. I played with a buddy of mine who has been playing for about 20 years, whom I had never beaten, and I beat him by 5 strokes. I will continue to work on the drills and keep my "plan" at the front of my game.

"My Best Day Of 27 Holes Ever!"
Marc - Shot a 41 in 'league' last Monday!
Shot an 80 at a new course on Friday morning, followed by another 41 in the afternoon at another new course!
AM Round: 80, 33 putts, 17 first putts were for par or birdie, 6 GIRS
PM Round: 41, 15 putts, 8 first putts were for par or birdie, 2 GIRS
The 27 holes on Friday may have been my best day of 27 holes ever...at times some real solid golf, but with some easy-to-spot opportunities to improve!!

"From A 21 Handicap To A 15.3!"
Alex,
I started the year as a 21 handicap and I've already lowered it to a 15.3. I'm confident that by next year I'll reach my goal of a single digit handicap. I'm consistently shooting in the mid to high 80's on difficult courses. I just finished my honeymoon in Hawaii and I shot 85, 86, and 88 in 30mph tradewinds: it was great!
I have a friend that is interested in joining me in GMS who is a pretty decent golfer. He just recently started playing golf, but shoots in the low 90's to high 80's. The week we were interested in is that last section that you said was open. I have one more person who is also interested.

"Back To Back Scores Of 82 and 81!"
Alex, just wanted to update you on my progress since my class in Boca Raton Florida.
I just returned from our annual disciples fellowship golf retreat in Pinehurst, North Carolina, I shot back to back scores of 82 and 81 to win the first flight division of the tournament, and also the most improved player of the tournament.
Playing within myself and remembering tick-tock has helped me tremendously. I fully plan to be playing in the 70's by the end of this year. Seeing that I just missed shooting a 79 by a couple of strokes, I am looking forward to returning to Boca Raton for the next class.

"I Shot 82 and Won My Flight!"
Sunday, I played in the last group of my flight (12 players total) starting 4 strokes back. Didn’t care, just wanted to play a good round (told myself it might be my last round of the year so just enjoy it).
Stayed steady all day while 2 other players took turns leading the flight. I was 6 back after 2 holes. I opened with a bogie, bogie. In the end, shot an 82 and got into a play-off which I won in 20 holes. So I won my flight.
My current index is now an 11.7.

"My Best Score Ever - An 88!"
Hi Jeff:
Golf is going well. I've been playing more than ever this year and am having a lot of fun playing, especially since I've been thru the GMS Program in the beginning of June.
Two Sundays ago, I had my best golf score ever......an 88. While that still may not be that great, for me it was awesome because my average has been about 98! What really made me happy is the fact that with that 88 score, I had a 39 on the back nine at my home course......5 pars and 4 bogies!
Everything was clicking for me.

"Drives Have Been 15-20 Yards Longer!"
Jeff,
Golf here has been wet. I've only played about 10 rounds this year, typically by this time I've played 20-25.
There are a couple of things that are working well for me from the GMS 3 day class. The tick-tock has helped a lot. My regular foursome constantly comment, especially when I'm driving, that my swing seems so smooth and in rhythm. Drives have been 15-20 yards longer on average, happy about that.
Almost holed 5 chips last week, all came to rest within 8 inches of the cup. So that's 5 one putts.

"I Have Improved 10 Strokes"
GMS - So it is now a little better than one year since my GMS clinic. My average score has improved by 10 strokes. At the Baltusrol course in NJ I hit a 38 on the front from the blue tees. I had two bad holes on the back, but still ended up with a low 80’s round.
Tempo and ball striking with a plan. Every time there isn’t a plan it works less.
I am 59 years old averaging 275 yards off the tee with occasional bombs over 320 yards. Same tempo. My wedge game is working and most iron shots are coming off the face well. I have hit 13 greens in regulation average over my last 4 rounds. Last week I eagled a 675 yard par 6 (non PGA approved I am sure). The best part of my new found game is how relaxed I am on the course at most times.
I am interested in course 2 so I can get to a 9 to 10 handicap.
Please let me know the scoop.

"I've Gained Over 15 Yards With My Clubs!"
Jeff and Derick definitely exceeded my expectations. I plan to visit you again next year.
Meanwhile, I feel that I am doing well. I believe that I am consistently hitting the ball better, which means both longer and straighter.
Some specifics:
I am getting off the tee better. I find that I fully expect to hit the ball well from the tee every time I address it, and this confidence in itself is important. My regular golf partners feel that my drives are longer, and I think they are consistently straighter as well. I attribute this to pace of swing more than anything else. I think that I am also doing a better job of extending my arms when I swing.
My irons are clearly longer. I played with my son yesterday. After a good drive on one hole, I had 135 left to the center of the green. I used a 9 iron, and hit perfectly on line, but over the green. This was a well-elevated shot, not a low line drive. Previously, my 9 iron was about a 120 yard club.
Thank you again. I really enjoyed your instruction. Please give my regards to Derick.

"Now I Have A New Low Of 84 To Beat!"
Marc,
On July 4th, I found my own independence at Jack Frost National in the Poconos, 71.5/132. I shot a 44 on the front and a 40 on the back. I ended up with 11 pars, 4 bogies, 2 doubles and one triple. I didn’t want to know my score after 9, but my cart-mate added it up and I noticed it was a 44. I told him not to add up my score until the end and not to tell me.
I knew I was having a good round, with 3 to go I started to get nervous, I bladed my tee shot on a par 3, but it rolled to the apron, I wedged it to within 5 feet and sank the putt for par. Next hole, a par 4, I crushed my drive, dropped next shot on the green and 2 putted for par. By the 18th, my knees where shaking, 476 all uphill par 5, I sliced my drive, but it was playable, duffed my second shot, crushed my third shot and ended up on the fringe, I was so nervous, my wedge shot came up way short and I 2 putted for a bogie.
I now realize I am capable of not only being in the low 80’s, but the high 70’s actually seem within reach.
Now I have a new low of 84 to beat, my previous two scores in the 80’s which were 89 and 88.
Talk to you soon,

"I Broke The 90 Barrier!"
Marc--
I was able to play my first round today after the GMS session in Lansdowne, VA. I am thrilled to let you know I broke the 90 barrier. I shot 44-42, no triples, 3 doubles, 5 pars and 10 bogies. Thanks to my new confidence around the green, I was down to 34 putts. I only had 2 GIR, but on three holes my ball striking is so much improved over 2 weeks ago, that I went off the back of the green on at least 3 holes. However, chipping back was no problem. Only had 1 bunker, on a par 3, and easily blasted out to the greenside rough just off the green (level 2 sand player), and then chipped to within 3 feet to save bogey. Since this last GMS class, I am hitting between 1 and 2 clubs longer and playing with much more confidence.
Please forward this e-mail to Sam and let him know I am one happy PLAYER today. Best regards,

Hi GMS,

My handicap was a 19 and now it is a 15. I am getting on more greens in regulation and I can "feel" my good swing. I no longer have a day where I can never find the good swing. I am practicing more often and trying to warm up before I go out with some of the drills we were taught.

GMS,
I had my most consistent game ever two weeks ago and had an 87 to top it off (that's good for me).
My time in St. Augustine was well worth the money, plus I had a great time. My drives are longer and most important; they are where I want them to be. I am using my game plan, and it is helping. My short game is vastly improved, and I am having fun.

"This Week I Shot An 87!"
Hi Jeff, Hope all is well. Well it's been about a month since our time together at Amelia Island. Just a short note to give you an update on how my golf is coming along.
I've played four times since April 2nd and the first time out I shot a 96, second time out shot a 97, third time shot a 91 and this week I shot an 87. This is great since I've had very little time to practice, (been very busy with work, it gets in the way of my Golf), but each time out I've improved my swing. (I'm using the tick-tock.) My drives this week have been the most consistent, in that I have hit them straight and down the middle of the fairway. I'm so happy with my driver now, I'm hitting my 5 and 7 irons very well and I'm making the long putts.
Thanks for all your advice and lessons, I see progress and I' m playing to a PLAN and Tick-Tock.

"I Am Glad I Choose You Guys!"
Hello Golf Made Simple,
I played on Sunday and I felt great shooting an 83.
But the best thing about the round was the way I was hitting the ball. As I continue my golfing days I see more and more the truth behind the game and I thank you GMS for the efforts in putting together a program that ties in all the fundamentals to playing good, solid golf.
I am glad I choose you guys as a school and having Chuck as a teacher was even better. I never met anyone as knowledgeable as Chuck, but the thing that impressed me the most about him was the passion for the game. There aren’t too many people in this world that have true passion for such a game beyond the course.
Chuck my hats off to you and I will be back in the future. I know if I continue to my drills and practice I will reach my level that I feel confident enough to play with anyone.
I won’t take much more of your time, but I will continue to check in with the GMS and report my progress, I have already 3-4 tournaments that are coming up and I look forward to playing in them.

"The Longest, Straightest Drive Of My Life!"
Hi Alex - I wanted to send you a quick thank you for getting me into the GMS class at TRILOGY at Vistancia last week.
A few things: First GREAT instructor. We all liked James and his method and manners. He was very easy to work with. Secondly, enjoyed the group of people you hooked me up with. We all got along well and had some fun along the way.
More importantly, everything you told me and I heard about GMS is correct! On the third day of instruction I hit the longest, straightest drive of my life! James and I figured it to be about 275 to 280 yards.
The next afternoon, my wife and I played up in Sedona and I had a great round. I shot an 81 which I have done before, but not in a while. Usually after instruction I don’t do well for several rounds. GMS took effect right away because I was following the important steps I learned at GMS.
Thanks again and put in the good word for James!

"I Shot An 82!"
I had the most amazing thing happen on January 26 2009 at a golf club in Florida where we had just finished our round and my buddy wanted to practice his chipping.
I was standing by the green and putting my buddy through several short game drills we practiced with GMS and after 1 hour an official from the club comes over and is looking at my bag. I asked him if everything was okay and what was he looking at. He proceeded to tell me that the powers to be did not appreciate pro’s using their teaching facilities to give lessons.
I thanked him profusely for making my day for mistaking me for a golf pro (which I took as a compliment) and told him I shot an 82 and this just made the day perfect. Shooting an 82 and then getting mistaken as a Golf Pro.

"My First Hole In One!"
Hi Marc,
Just wanted to let you know I was fortunate enough to have my first hole-in-one ever last year. It was on June 18, 2008 on the 9th at Valley Brook Golf Course in Rivervale NJ. The 9th is a short par 3 over water. It played about 115 yards that day and I hit a pitching wedge.
The ball landed about two feet past; spun back and went in. My focus on that shot was simply to make good contact. I focused on completing my “tick-tock” to insure good contact and it worked!

"I Will Keep Spreading The GMS Word!"
Hello Alex and Jeff,
This is why I am such a great spokeswoman for GMS. We took yesterday off after being in Phoenix with GMS, but Alan could not believe how well I was striking the golf ball. We played with another couple who are a 5 & 8 handicap so I was very intimidated to start and not too confident and started 5 over after the 1st three holes. I settled down and ended up shooting an 89 and I had not broken 90 on that course since October, so that was a big feat. Thus I will keep spreading the GMS word.
