“This Was My Best Year Ever Golfing!”
Hayden,
I would have to say this was my best year ever golfing. Not that I couldn’t have played better, but it is good to show progress from year to year as it is a sign I am improving.
In my company golf league for which I am also the league secretary I posted my first ever 9 hole average below 50. It was a 49.9 and doubled my career birdies in the golf league from 4 to 8 with 4 birdies this season.
And during my 18 hole rounds, my drives were as consistent as anyone I played with. I was hitting at least 10 fairways when I played 18 holes with an average of 200 yards. I was even confident with my fairway woods as I use them without hesitation now. My short game including putting is much better than it was and my bunker play is improving also.
I’m looking forward to playing next year already and am counting the days till March starts.
Happy Holidays,

“I Improved 11 Strokes and Maria Improved 6 Strokes!”
Hayden,
We have made great improvement since our golf lesson with you at Boca Raton in May.
First, let me say our game has improved because you taught us the right way to think about and to strategize each hole.
My handicap has improved by eleven strokes and Maria’s has improved by six strokes. This I feel is tremendous improvement based on the skill level we had before attending Golf Made Simple training. By planning each hole and staying away from trouble is the base foundation of a good game.
I again just want to thank you in teaching us how to plan each round of golf. We do have the GMS video and use it as a refresher in keeping up with all of what we learned when we had the three day class.
Our thanks and best wishes to you and your family for a wonderful Holiday Season! Enjoy that new baby as well.

“A 7 To 8 Stroke Improvement For 9 Holes!"
(Equals a 14 To 16 Stroke Improvement for 18 Holes)
Hayden,
We hope you're enjoying the FL warmth and sunshine. It snowed 8 inches here over the weekend.
I just wanted to let you know that from last summer 2009 (before taking my GMS class) to the end of this season, 2010 (after taking my GMS class), I have improved 7-8 strokes for 9 holes. By the end of this season, I was consistently shooting 47's and 48's. Next season, my goal is to consistently shoot in the low 40s.
You are an incredible instructor. Hope all is well with your family.
Best wishes,

“From Trying To Break 100 To Scoring An 87!"
(In Less Than 9 Months!)
Marc,
I came to GMS a little less than a year ago. I am proud to report that I had my first hole-in-one about three months ago and last month I scored an 87.
When I came to GMS my goal was just to try and break 100, now I regularly shoot in the 90s and my new goal is to get to the 80’s more often ...your article in the last issue of Golf Improvement Weekly about shooting 83 was most timely.

“GMS Was An Amazing Experience!!"
Hi Alex and Alex,
We just completed our 3 day program with Hayden Lewis in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin and wanted to pass along to you what an amazing experience we had!!
From my first inquiry phone call with Alex O. to the completion of our three day program, Golf Made Simple surpassed every expectation and hope we could ever have. I was a little concerned that my husband, being an 8 handicap, would be restless in the same program with me being a 36 handicap. But that wasn’t the case at all.
The drills really lent themselves to being appropriate to golfers of all levels and Hayden did a wonderful job helping each of us no matter what our ability. Going into the program I knew we would be paired with 2 more golfers. The idea of golfing with anyone, and especially complete strangers, was definitely outside my comfort zone, but I worried for nothing. Hayden did a terrific job of putting us at ease and very quickly we were all rooting each other on.
We are looking forward to sharing our experience with the members at our golf club here and will encourage them all to sign up for a Golf Made Simple program this winter as many of them spend the cold months in Arizona and Florida!
Thanks again!!

“I Have Broken 100 Twice!"
Hayden:
I wanted to thank you again for the enjoyable experience last month in Lake Geneva. I’ve found in the last two weeks that I’m able to better concentrate on my PLAN. Last week, I shot 98 and then a 97 today.
I actually chipped in for par from 30 yards on a par 5 and chipped to 1 foot over a bunker on another hole. So I have to say that my chipping is really starting to come around. Thanks again and I hope your fall season goes well.

“We Were SO Impressed With Our GMS Experience!"
Hi Alex,
Just a quick note to say that both Brian and I were SO impressed with our GMS experience!
The resort and courses were great and Hayden was simply a wonderful instructor (we'd follow him to whatever location he was working, for our next GMS program!)
Thanks so much in helping me get this to happen!
My best guess is that when we book again we should have another couple with us to make a 4some.

Hi Alex -
Since attending the Golf Made Simple taught by Marc, I have really done well. I have gone from having games in the 100-105 range to consistently in the 90 – 92 area and a few 88’s and 89’s.
I am on the Golf Channel Amateur tour and I Qualified for their National Tournament (In no small part due to GMS) at TPC Sawgrass down your way.

“Best Round Ever - 13 Shots Better!”
Hayden,
We played with some friends today. Vicki had her best round ever – 101 (13 shots better than her previous best). 53 on the front and 48 on the back. She played great. She had multiple 200 yard drives this afternoon. And her game was great overall.
I shot an 83, which was solid. Felt like I played really strong. Putting much better. Feel like I’m getting better. I am just in love with my ball striking… I feel like I’m playing a lot better.
Anyway, wanted you to know we appreciate the time we got to spend with you. Recommended some friends today to GMS and I think they will go next spring. We’re enjoying golf and much of that is possible because of the practical things you taught us.

“A Hole In One And First Time Breaking 90!”
(16 Strokes Better In Less Than 10 Days)
Hey Jeff,
Just wanted to drop you a note on how my dad and my golf trip to the Greenbriar Resort went. Today we played on the "Old White Course", the same one they just played the PGA Tour Event on 2 weeks ago.
The 3rd hole was a 190 yard par 3 and I hit 4 iron. By the time we got up to the green, we realized it was a hole in one.
I know one hole doesn't make the golfer, so you will be happy to hear what I learned at GMS carried over to the rest of the round; I shot an 89. Having never come close to the 80's (usually scoring above 105), I can do nothing but thank you for all the help you and the GMS drills have provided me.
Thank you so much for everything,

“Last Week I Shot My Lowest Round Ever!!”
Hello Sam:
You may remember that Dennis and I attended GMS at La Quinta this past April.
We wanted to give you an update on our progress. Dennis is doing great and has recently had several rounds in the high 80s and has gained a lot of distance on all his clubs.
Last week I shot my lowest round ever, a 93, at the La Cantera Palmer Course in San Antonio, Texas.
We’re both having so much fun out on the course and are we are having fewer blow up holes.
Thank you so much for all your encouragement and great instruction. We hope to see you again this fall.

“From Over 100+ To Now In The Mid 80's!!”
Marc,
I went to your GMS location in Sotogrande, Spain in March and had a great time with Jeff. I have gone from scoring anywhere from the mid 90s to over 100+ … to now regularly scoring in the mid 80s and rarely over 90.
My driving is eerily straight and 30-40 yards longer - my friends are amazed!
The concentration on simple thoughts like tempo and hitting the middle of the club - especially in putting - has changed my whole approach to the game. Why do others make it so difficult? I am aiming for another GMS in the autumn, hopefully with my friend Dave this time.

“I Can Make Improvements Each Time I Practice And Play!”
GMS,
I attended the June 7-9 in Colorado, at Green Valley Ranch. I just had two chances to play on the golf course since, but I have to tell you that thanks to James and his teaching, now I know in a very clear and simple way what I need to do to produce my swing. I also know what I need to practice and how to practice.
In just 3 days James changed my approach to golf and has it made it more peaceful and enjoyable. With the confidence I have from the simple concepts (like Pace of Swing) I can make improvements each time I practice and play. Only a truly excellent Instructor like James can teach you that.
So thank you James for being so clear and simple. I’m planning on GMS again next year for sure.

“It Was The Best Money I Ever Spent!”
Hello to everyone at GMS,
Just want to let you know I had a fantastic time at Landsdowne Resort, Virginia with Jeff and my other three classmates. You matched us up perfectly! They were a great group of people.
The resort was awesome - staff were very friendly and helpful - food delicious! It’s a great place.
Jeff is a fantastic instructor. I enjoyed every minute of my lesson and would highly recommend the classes.
I must say, this week Ron and I went out and played 9 holes and what a difference!! My ball striking was right on (tick tock), I felt very confident in what I was doing - I just thoroughly enjoyed my game.
I will really work hard on improving my putting with the easy to follow instructions for practicing. I think I will reach my goal this summer - which will be great!
I can't thank you enough - it was the best money I ever spent!

“Our Weekend With GMS Was Fabulous!”
Dear Marc,
I wanted to follow up and tell you that our weekend at Golf Made Simple with Hayden was fabulous. He did a great job and he explained many of the concepts and drills in a way that we had never heard before.
As far as the playing lesson - he was phenomenal. He was by our side (all four of us) on every shot. I am still not sure how he was able to manage that. And in addition, when he stood by our side he had good questions to ask us, like:
What is your plan?
Why do you want to use that club?
What do you think went wrong with that swing? Pace of swing, length of swing or centerness of contact?
Before we played he had talked to us about accepting bad shots and the pros and their percentages of bad shots. He set us up to have a better attitude. He was very supportive.
Anyway, we wanted to get back to you and let you know how much we appreciated the professionalism of your company and program.
I will be passing on the word about Golf Made Simple whenever I can. And I would not be surprised if we come back as well!

“My First Time Breaking 95!”
Hello Marc!
I took your program in Denver at Green Valley Ranch this past June. It was great! For example, I started 2009 with a score of over 120!!! Yes... over 120.
My goal was to go below 95 before 2010 started. As you make think that was a little bit ambitious. Never the less, I shot a 94 on January the 3rd... just 3 days after 2010 started. This year my goal is to go beneath 85.
I´m writing to you because you have a great program!!!
Well, thanks a lot for reading this, best regards,

“My Wife Broke 100 and I Almost Broke 85!”
Hi Marc,
My wife and I just finished our Golf Made Simple experience this last Sunday with James at Trilogy at Vistancia. First off, we would like to say that James was by far the best instructor either of us have ever had. His patience, humor, understanding and ability to communicate were just what we needed. He is clearly an asset to your organization.
As for the class itself, we have nothing but positive things to say. I have been a golfer for about 6 1/2 years and my wife for about 5 1/2 years. We have both taken lessons before, but the usual kind - spend some time on the range with an instructor and then go practice and hope to bring the driving range to the course. But that only takes you so far and then you're stuck. But with Golf Made Simple, we both immediately understood the concepts as taught and demonstrated by James and in short order were able to put them into practice.
Yesterday, we had our first opportunity to take those lessons to the course for real. To begin with, our warm-ups were different than before. Rather than hitting a bucket of balls and doing a little putting, this time we did your 29-ball warm up drill - left-side/right-side - the short, on and over - then the half swing driver. On the putting green we concentrated on working around the hole with 3' and 6' foot putts and accelerating through the ball. This is a much more positive experience before getting to the first tee.
While we were a little nervous on the first tee, playing with strangers and hoping our efforts were going to be rewarded, the bottom line is that we both played significantly better than before. That is not to say that we didn't have bad shots - we did - but we immediately knew what we had done wrong and then were able to apply that experience to the next shot so that it was better. We became our own instructors and that helped a lot. Now, we know WHY we make a less than great shot. Very valuable information indeed.
At the end of the round, my wife had broken 100 for the first time. I was on my way to my best round ever when I made the BIG mistake, I counted up my score up to the 17th hole and knew that I was on track for no worse than an 85. No worse of course unless you start to pay attention to scoring rather than tick tock and a good turn. Needless to say, I doubled the last two holes to finish with an 88. Still a good score for me, but I learned a very valuable lesson - I'll never add up anything until we're done again.
Thank you so much for a great school and please pass along to James our heartfelt gratitude for all he did for us. We will be recommending your experience to every golfer we know. We are on our way to being Players and not Monkeys. Thank you, thank you

“I Broke 100 For The First Time!”
Greetings Alex and GMS staff. I finished my three days of instruction this past weekend, in Florida at the lovely Innisbrook Golf Resort. I have had instruction before, but Derek was by the far the best. He certainly made Golf Simple.
I had the feeling that he was personally invested in my improvement. He worked very hard and with passion for the three days. I was exhausted at the end of each day. I really enjoyed my three days of instruction with him. The results also spoke loud and clear.
My goal was to try and get under a hundred, as I had never done so before. On the second day, much to my surprise I shot a 98. All the drills were very relevant to my improvement. I plan to continue to practice all of them. I especially need to continue all drills. Thank you GMS and a very BIG THANK YOU to Derek.

“Long Days, But A Lot Of Fun & Great Improvement!”
Alex,
Jane and I recently attended Golf Made Simple at Sotogrande in Spain. We were a little sceptical prior to arrival, but we were really looking forward to it as one beginner and one 13 handicapper. Jeff was great from the very first moment and inspired us both in ways we hadn't imagined possible; both with the drills and with the careful attention to the mental aspects of the game. The 9 holes each afternoon were very enjoyable. Long days, but a lot of fun and great improvement.
We really enjoyed every aspect of the Golf Made Simple program and can highly recommend it to teen handicappers and beginners alike. We both got a great deal out of it.

“We Have Come Away With A PLAN!”
Hi Alex,
Hazel and I had a fantastic time and Jeff was excellent. We really enjoyed the three days we spent with Jeff and have come away with our "plan" for this coming golf season.
We have both said that we would like to do this on a yearly basis and hopefully bring a group of friends with us as the programme was excellent and made sense and the drills and practise routines have given us something to concentrate on when we do get out to practise. I have done some of the drills indoors and will keep going as I really want to see improvements this year.
