"From an 8 handicap to a 3 handicap!"
For my 50th birthday I decided to give myself a trip to a golf school as a gift. After researching a dozen other schools and reading a dozen Golf Improvement Weekly newsletters, I finally went to a GMS school in Amelia Island.
My handicap improveed from an 8 to a 3 in 6 weeks! I qualified third for the Club Championship and made it to the quarterfinals. I thoroughly outplayed my opponent, but super fast greens and my lack of practice got the best of me.
After years of playing without purpose, enthusiasm or a plan, golf is fun and exciting again. GMS just makes sense! I talk about the program and my results to anyone that will listen, and I think a few of my friends will be signing up. Not too many, I hope. I want to win that Championship next year!

"I Improved From a 16 To An 8 In Less Than 8 Months!"
GMS,
When I came to St. Augustine in march I had three main goals in mind for the year. One was to bring my 16 hcp to a 12, one was to shoot a 80, and finish first in a tournament in golf tournament this year. I went to gms and really enjoyed my time there.
The Results: By the End of the year I have a 8.1hcp (4 better than my goal and an 8 stroke improvement overall. My best round was a 76 (4 better than my goal). Although I haven't won a tournament yet (I did get a 2nd and several 3rd's).
I look forward to attending the level II program at the end of this winter and until then look forward to GIW and even more so the GMS Alumni Bulletin to keep my improvement coming.
Thanks again,

"A Hole In One and Improved Handicap!"
Alex,
A big hi from wet and cold Dublin, Ireland!! Well the season is now closed for full competitions (14 holes from now until April). Collette had a hole in one this week at Hermitage Golf Club in the Ladies Tuesday Competition and has improved her handicap 3 shots to a 19 handicap.
I won a medal play competition in September at my club (The Royal Dublin Golf Club) and improved my handicap from a 14 to a 12. This is a great result!!! I base this improvement all on attending GMS in Amelia Island in May.
Hope you guys are well. And maybe we will see you next year!!
Best Regards,

"I've Had Four Eagle Putts This Year!"
Marc,
I am having a ball. Here's something funny......I had not been in a position for an eagle in at least 15 years. Again, that is until this year. I have had four eagle putts from within ten feet this year. I made none of them, but I'm not upset by that. I was in a position for an eagle FOUR times. Pretty cool. I've also made more birdies this year than ever before. My low score this season so far is an 82 a couple of weeks ago on a course called Mississippi Dunes here in Minnesota. I went 39-43.
I'll keep you posted as I go along. I look forward to getting back together with you soon...perhaps in Florida. Until then....
Be well,

"I Broke 80 twice!"
Hi Hayden,
I have had a good golf summer. My goal for this summer was to break 80 and to reach a par 5 of 500 yds in two shots. I'm happy to say I achieved both goals.
I shot a 78 and a 77. I also reached a Par 5 green twice which gave me a couple of eagle putt opportunities.
What did I use to break 80?
Having a PLAN, controlling my pace of swing and much improved putting. Oh, by the way, I use the Belly Swing and the Modified Belly Swing to make a standard swing for all my clubs.
So I guess everything learned at GMS is paying off.
Good job Hayden,

"Improved From A 15 To A 6 Handicap!!"
(And Scored A 69 & 73)
Alex,
I had the round of my life last weekend. I attended your class in St Augustine in mid-January 2007. At the time, I was a 15 handicap and had never broken 80. After my GMS class, my game showed rapid improvement. The biggest changes that I saw in my game were much more solid contact with my irons, greatly reduced 3-putts and much better course management (having a PLAN).
Well, a few months later, I did break 80. My official handicap has steadily improved from a 15 to a 6.0. (In the last 10 rounds only scoring higher than 80 one time)
This past weekend I scored a 69 (2 under Par). The next day, I played again and ended up with a 73.
Anyway, I know that I could never have be playing anywhere near this well without the skills that you taught me at GMS. I really appreciate all that you taught me and the whole GMS approach. It has really made golf fun (rather than frustrating, as it is for many of my friends). I keep telling them about GMS and what it has done for my game. Hopefully some of them will decide to give you a try.

"My First sub-80 Round!"
Dear Marc,
I have been meaning to send this e-mail for quite some time. I appreciate your efforts on my behalf. I have worked hard for the past two weeks to improve my rhythm and my chipping motion. My efforts were to improve the weaknesses and not worry about the score. Over time, both have become easier.
All that being said, my good shots are good and my bad shots less bad. My divots are much better and my shots are much more on target, all of them.
Today I shot 79, 39/40. I have had 39's before, but always managed to shoot 41 or 42 on the back; not so today. My first sub 80 round! I hope you enjoyed your time in the Toronto area and will get back again.
Thank you,
Lawrie G - Ottawa, Canada - August 11th, 2008

"I'm Scoring Better ... Thanks To The Level 2 Program"
Hi Hayden,
I am scoring better thanks to you and the Level II Program. I am warming up with 29 balls and when time is tight, just 19 balls. I then practice chipping and putting for a few minutes using Level II drills and then it's off to the tee box. On the course, I am making good rehearsal swings, focusing on the swoosh with my driver, and scrambling rather well. In the past three rounds, I have shot 83, 80, and 81. I was one over on the back nine this past weekend. I could have easily broken 80 if I would've made a few more putts. I am going to work more on the putt-box drill in the very near future.
Sincerely,

"I Shot 1 Under On the Back 9!"
Marc,
When I came to GMS, I was shooting in the high 80's and low 90's. After shooting one under for nine holes on the last day, I thought I had arrived.
My index now is a 5.4. I break 80 about 40% of the time. I have gotten to only 3 putting once every 3 or 4 rounds. Oh by the way, yesterday I went out and played a course I have only played once a couple of years ago. I shot a 43 on the front. However, I really got it going on the back and shot 1 under. A 78 to end the day with confidence like I couldn't believe.
Thanks,

"I LOVE GOLF MADE SIMPLE!!!!!!"
Hi Alex,
Great news! Ever since our clinic with Golf Made Simple, I have being playing so well I can't believe it. So far my scores have been at least 5 strokes lower on an average!! The best is yet to come
Last Sat. I had to play the club champion in a match play. Normally I would lose on the 15th hole. We were tied on the 18th and had to play sudden death. She won in the end, but I felt so good about my game. The really big news - during that match, I got a HOLE IN ONE!!! I LOVE GOLF MADE SIMPLE!!!!!!

"I Broke My Personal Best Score!"
Wataru - I broke my personal best score while playing in cold, wet, windy weather today. One of the toughest rounds of golf I have ever played weather wise - it got worse as the round went on. I would have normally quit, but I had a guest who really wanted to see the course.
I shot a 38 on the front with 12 putts and 40 on the back with 14 Putts. 78 with 26 putts - lowest score ever, lowest number of putts as well. A lot of one putts for par or bogey!
You told me during the class that the low handicappers found the putting drills to be the most valuable lesson. I think I would now agree!

"An 81 and My Longest Tee Shot!"
Jeff - I shot 41 & 40 yesterday with 10 pars. Hit three greens with wedge from 75 to 95 yards the shot I hated before class. Tick Tock and stepping forward are helping me very much, my driving was very good.I was low man out of 18 guys. Some positive information as I have played this course 30 times before coming to see you:
I had my longest drive ever on #2 #9 #16
On #9 my drive was 256 yards versus my previous sky-caddy measured long drive of 236 yards.
I reached the par 5 #9 for the first time ever in two shots, then two putted for birdie from 45 feet.
All the guys said my swing was much improved because I was finishing with my weight forward instead of back.
Thanks for making me a better golfer!
