"My Best Round Ever - 95!"
Hayden,
Arlene and I didn't forget you or our experience at Golf Made Simple. We wanted to get in a few rounds to see how we progressed. We couldn't start playing again until around the week of November 13th, since then I have played a dozen times and Arlene about 5 rounds.
I'm doing well compared to what I had been doing (I used to be 107/109 Golfer). I dropped to a low of 95 and a high of 104 (so now I have had my lowest score ever and my high score is lower than what I used to average).
We have improved our game as a result of Golf Made Simple!

"From a 115 Average To Almost Breaking 100!"
Wataru - I've definitely seen improvement as I was practicing exercises. I found the best mantra for me is actually "Tick Turn" as I realized I wasn't turning enough. After that realization I found my tee shots as well as my long fairway shots got a lot straighter and distance became more predictable.
By season end I was ever closer to crossing the 100 mark down from about 115 average. What's more important is that I'm really enjoying myself now that things got way simpler. I'm also really happy with my club purchase. I thank you for your advice on it. I think it has helped me be more consistent.

"99 and 98"
Hayden,
Yesterday I took the day off and went to Dorado Beach to play with one of my best friends. Played both the East and West course, and ended up scoring a 99 and 98 respectively (those came out to be a 20 and 22 handicap)... I was pretty happy with the results, since these are both REAL courses (in terms of length and degree of difficulty). My plan worked like a charm, and concentrating (and practicing) on my short game and putting also had a BIG impact...
I am very much looking forward to my next trip to GMS next summer.
Take care my friend,

"I Won My Club's Ladies Tournament!"
Hi Guys,

On day one we started on the 8th hole and I made par on 8 and 9 and bogeyed 10 and 11.
I ended up having 4 pars on the front 9.....it was my best round ever ...... and continued on Friday to play my second best round ever on my home course.....99. If either of you guys get this way I would love to treat you to a round. I have been so much more consistant since seeing you guys!

"My Partners Were Impressed!"
Hi Wat,
Hope you are doing well.
Got to the practice range only once this past week, then last night on the putting green for about an hour. I worked on the Parallel Hands drill and Belly Swing drill. It must have paid off, because I shot 50-45 today. I was impressing my playing partners with my drives.
When people compliment me on the improvement in my game, I credit Golf Made Simple and "Tick Tock". I have now broken 100 twice since Golf Made Simple in April, and am looking forward to breaking 90 in the not too distant future.
Thanks,

"My Average Score Improved From 100 To 92!"
Hi Hayden,
As far as my average score before the school, it was around 100, I have gotten my average down to 92.
I'm thinking of coming back to Golf Made Simple next spring.

"270 To 290 Yard Drives!"
Hi Wat,
I shot a 92 yesterday at Hemet Landmark!
The drive was working - when I did transfer my weight I was out about 270 - 290 yards.
Short game was good with me hitting the pin 3 times with a chip.
I am practicing the "Tour Putting Square" daily after I practice hitting into the 2 foot box from 6 feet out for about an hour. Average score on the putting square is 19 misses.
I will be working with the "Belly Swing Drill" and then use it on the driving range prior to hitting balls.

"I Finally Broke 100!"
Marc - Just wanted to let you know that I finally broke 100 on a big boy course. I shot a 93 at Sandpiper in Santa Barbara. I beat my best score by 8 strokes. I can see it all coming together, my drives are getting longer and straighter, irons more consistent and more comfortable from 60 yards and in. My next challenge is to get my putting to improve at the same rate. I attended Golf Made Simple in May at The Barona resort with Jacob and plan on coming back with another group in a few months.

"My Best Score Ever!"
Dear Marc:
I went a couple of days of this week to the practice range to go through the Parallel Hands and Riding Hands drill. I played today and hit it beautiful! I shot a birdie, several pars and a couple of 7s. At the end of the day I was on the eighteenth hole with 85, unfortunately I listened to the Monkeys and shot 5 on the last hole. But anyway, it was my best score ever - a 90!!!
Thanks for the tips I will try to earn my game by practicing the Parallel Hands and Riding Hands drill.

"Head Master Monkey"
Hayden,
My son and I played nine holes one afternoon. Unfortunately, it was still cold and the winds were gusting about 20mph. He just wanted to get out and play so I decided to go. We have always played very closely within a stroke or two.
I only shot 45......and that doesn't sound impressive, but I could have easily broke 40. The course conditions, the wind and weather easily took a few strokes away. Oh, I beat my son by at least 10 strokes. He blamed it all on the conditions and said it wasn't worth keeping score!!!! I was happy!!!!
I was referred by several people to a reputable club Maker about twenty miles from home. One evening, I decided to round up some of my clubs and visit him. We talked for awhile and he proceded to tell me about his experience (many years) of play and teaching and club making. He then asked me to swing my Driver in his make shift swing area. I hesitated and tried to explain that I didn't want to swing without loosening up.
Anyway, I managed to take a couple of swings and before I knew it, I was getting some free golf lessons. I'm doing this, I'm doing that, my swing path is wrong, my head is moving and I'm using the wrong Driver!!!! When I left the shop, I had three experimental drivers to hit......his very own creations!!!! As I drove away, all I could think about was "Monkeys" "Monkeys" "Monkeys" and I had just spent an hour with a the "HEAD Master Monkey" if there is such a thing. My head was spinning.
I want to thank you again for a great time and for sharing some wonderful golf lessons. Now, when I read golf magazines or articles on golf swings, things are a lot less confusing because I always relate them to my GMS drills. It works....and they're simple. Keep up the good work. Jean and I are already talking about a return trip. Hope to see you again.

"Three Excellent Days!"
Hello Wataru,
This is just a quick note to thank you again for an excellent three days at North Hampton. Mike and I discussed your instruction and the drills on our drive back to NC, and we agreed that you have a true gift for the work you do. We stopped to play Santee National in SC, and your work with us was clearly evident. I putted horribly (42 putts) but still shot a respectable (for me) 93.
My tee shots and fairway shots were almost always satisfactory, and I didn't lose a single ball. Tomorrow I will go for my first workout since leaving Amelia Island, and my wife and I will walk 9 holes in the afternoon. She is plying me with questions, and I think her interest is getting high enough that she might join me for a refresher course next winter.
Perhaps we'll come to San Diego to re-connect with you. Again, thanks very much for your excellent work with Mike and I.
Cheers,
Chris S.- Pinehurst, NC - March 13, 2006
"Handicap From 26 To 19!"
Hi Hayden! Roberta has been improving. Anyway she wants to talk to you, but she will e-mail you directly to setup a call time.
I have continued to play in the mid eighties and my handicap has dropped from 26 to 19. This was my original objective so I am very happy. I continue to play twice a week and to have one practice session and it is working great for me. Hope to be able to access the Personal Player Page soon. All the best to you and your family.
